IRG Action Fund Presents Representative Joel Kitchens Award for His Commitment to Literacy Reform
‘Champion for Kids’ award goes to Rep. Kitchens for his work on crucial literacy reform
STURGEON BAY, WI: This afternoon, IRG Action Fund presented Representative Joel Kitchens (R-Sturgeon Bay) with the ‘Champion for Kids’ award in recognition of his exceptional leadership and dedication in authoring and championing the groundbreaking literacy bill last session in the Wisconsin State Assembly.
What Happened: This award recognizes Representative Kitchens for his work in authoring Act 20, the first comprehensive reading legislation in decades in Wisconsin. This legislation is a critical step toward shaping a brighter future for Wisconsin’s students.
