IRG Action: Time to Build Needed Child Care Access For Working Families

IRG Action Testifying in the Capitol today on Senate Bill 623

DELAFIELD, WI – IRG Action Fund’s Alex Ignatowski will be in the State Capitol this afternoon to testify before the Senate Committee on Universities and Revenue on an IRG Action-supported proposal, authored by Senator Feyen and Representative Armstrong that will help build more child care access in Wisconsin through a tax credit for employers that offer a child care program for their employees.

Ahead of this afternoon’s hearing, Ignatowski stated:

“This legislation takes a positive step forward to increase access to child care for average working families. We support this proposal because working families in Wisconsin need help. This proposal will help to expand access and availability of child care, beginning the hard work of dealing with this critical shortage in our state.”

The hearing is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. in Room 411 South.
