IRG ACTION: BIPARTISAN “RIGHT TO READ” BILL IS GOOD NEWS FOR WISCONSIN’S CHILDREN

DELAFIELD, WI – It is a disgrace that Wisconsin children are not learning to read, especially low-income and special needs students statewide. Our literacy crisis has created a moral and economic crisis; that’s why IRG and IRG Action have worked on this issue for over three years.

Right to Read gets us closer to addressing the reading crisis and, overall, improves the status quo. We applaud the hard work of Representative Kitchens, Speaker Vos, Senator Stroebel, and Senator Jagler, who listened to many stakeholders and organizations.
