“We applaud Speaker Vos, Majority Leader LeMahieu, and Governor Evers for coming together to enact the historic charter and voucher school funding legislation. Because of this bipartisan action, countless children and families in Milwaukee and all over Wisconsin, including those with special needs, will have a chance at a solid education.
By shrinking the substantial funding gap between district and choice schools, charter and voucher schools will be in a better position to retain teachers, offer the programming that parents want, and drive incredible academic results across the state. This is great news for the future.”
